The practices featured include Community-Defined Evidence Practices (CDEPs), Community-Adapted Practices (CAPs), and Evidence-Based Practices (EBPs). Together, they reflect a range of approaches that bring together research, cultural knowledge, and lived experience to advance health equity.

Community-Defined Evidence Practices

Practices that communities have shown to yield positive results, based on shared experience and community consensus over time. These approaches may or may not be formally measured, but are widely accepted and trusted within the communities they serve.

Community-Adapted Practices

Evidence-based practices that have been thoughtfully adapted to reflect language, culture, and context. These approaches are shaped to align with the values, experiences, and needs of the communities they serve.

Evidence-Based Practices

Practices that bring together the best available research and clinical expertise, while also considering the characteristics, culture, and preferences of the people they serve.

Community-based organizations, practitioners, and partners can explore these practices to find ideas and approaches that may support the work in their own communities.
