Addressing Health Outcomes for Individuals With Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and/or Rare Diseases

By wp-adminSeptember 15, 2026Leave a comment

The PCORI funding opportunity supports high-impact, patient-centered comparative clinical effectiveness research focused on improving health outcomes for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and/or rare diseases. Proposed studies may examine approaches to healthcare access, care transitions, physical and mental health, symptom management, care coordination, health promotion, and caregiver well-being. Patients, caregivers, and other healthcare partners must meaningfully contribute to the research, making this opportunity particularly relevant to community-based organizations with research capacity or partnerships with healthcare systems, universities, or other research organizations.
