The purpose of the Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health program is to develop or enhance evidence-based programs that promote social-emotional development and address mental health needs among infants and young children.

The Foundation will prioritize funding for programs that improve maternal/infant health, target disparities, address social needs, and remove barriers to care throughout the pregnancy journey—from pre-conception support to postnatal care for mothers and babies. The programs should drive specific, measurable maternal/infant health outcomes.
Food as Medicine
The Foundation will prioritize funding for programs that improve clinical health outcomes for individuals with diet-related conditions and increase access to nutritious foods for populations experiencing food/nutrition insecurity.

Community health worker model adapted within Latino communities that uses trusted community members to deliver culturally and linguistically appropriate health education, navigation, outreach, and support services.
Healthy Native Communities Fellowship & Indigenous Wellness Models
Indigenous wellness approaches that integrate traditional knowledge, cultural practices, and community-defined health priorities to improve health and well-being.
Tribal Positive Youth Development
Positive Youth Development adapted for Tribal communities through the incorporation of cultural identity, traditions, language, and community connections.
National Diabetes Prevention Program Cultural Adaptations
Evidence-based diabetes prevention programs adapted to reflect cultural foods, family structures, language, and community contexts.
Family Group Conferencing
A family-led decision-making process adapted from Māori traditions that empowers families and communities to develop solutions for child welfare and social service needs.
Family Spirit
A culturally tailored, home-visiting intervention developed in partnership with Native communities that supports maternal and child health through pregnancy and early childhood.
