Together, we are guided by one vision: an oral health system that is just, equitable, and accessible to all.Proposals should be led by, or strongly informed through trusted relationships with, communities that have historically been affected by oral health inequities.
The Youth Service Capacity-Building Grants (YSCG) program supports activities to strengthen the organizational infrastructure of small nonprofit organizations in the five boroughs of New York City that provide direct services to young people ages 5 to 25.
The Hearst Foundations fund direct-service organizations that tackle the roots of chronic poverty by applying effective solutions to the most challenging social and economic problems. The Foundations prioritize supporting programs that have proven successful in facilitating economic independence and in strengthening families. Preference is also given to programs with the potential to scale productive practices in order to reach more people in need.
Supports partnerships led by trusted community-based organizations that strengthen, connect, and align existing mental health and well-being services and supports for parents and caregivers of young children, prenatal through age five. Up to five partnerships will receive as much as $450,000 over three years, along with learning and evaluation technical assistance.

The purpose of Project AWARE is to develop a sustainable framework to address mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders and promote the social and emotional wellbeing for school-aged youth in local or tribal education agency settings.
The purpose of the Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health program is to develop or enhance evidence-based programs that promote social-emotional development and address mental health needs among infants and young children.
The organization funds early-stage nonprofits with the potential to create positive, scalable impact but that have not yet demonstrated the effectiveness needed to secure growth funding or establish a sustainable model. Each year, it awards first-time grants ranging from $25,000 to $100,000. When an organization demonstrates significant progress, the funder works with its leadership to expand its programs and prepare it to attract larger funders that can support its growth.
The MOORE Equity in Mental Health Community Grants Program was established in 2021 by APA’s Division of Diversity and Health Equity (DDHE) and the APA Foundation to support community organizations that have undertaken innovative awareness programs and/or have provided services to improve the mental health of young people of color.
